I was asked to shoot a clothes line for a fashion student at the University of Wales Newport (my old university). She wanted it to stand out from the rest of the students. She had seen my previous work with Elena Marina that I had photographed at the disused mine shaft and she asked me if I could do all that, but with six different garments. “Of course I can!” So after two shoots and a sewn through finger (not mine thankfully) I can now present the final results.
‘Looking good in the saddle’
By chance me and Lee Martland have started to film while we go riding. We both ride Giant bikes and both love the speed and distance on a road bike. Using his Canon 5D Mk II with HD film capability we have managed to rig the camera to a car. We then got a willing friend to drive ahead of us. Below are the first film stills from our recent ride. We plan to continue riding and filming and hope to create a short film about our rides.
So watch this space!
Having now learnt HDR through various tutorials and software such as Photomatix Pro 4 – I decided to try it with my own bracketed images.
The following are taken in Newport. All are 5 exposures on a tripod using a Canon Digital shutter release.
I still have a lot to learn and practice makes perfect!
